Today’s episode is my reflection on our Magnificent Men series.
It was an honor to present the diverse journeys of Adrian Dickey, Aakeem Bennett, WC “Bobby” Blackmon, and Andrew Miller who are all deserving of praise and recognition in our Magnificent Men series. We heard great words from each man as he offered his own perspective on personal and professional growth.
Today, Andrew Miller will speak about his volunteer work in several local prisons. Since 2019, he has sponsored gavel clubs – special versions of Toastmasters for those who cannot join a traditional Toastmasters Club. In 2022, he began teaching creative writing at Madison and Jefferson Correctional Institution.
Most of his professional career was spent at the US Army Engineer R&D Center in Vicksburg, Mississippi, where he conducted research on endangered species and habitat restoration. In addition to volunteering, he restores antique stained-glass windows and writes short stories and essays. He and his wife have lived in Tallahassee since 2006.
Our guest today Bobby Blackmon is a true Renaissance man. He is a motivational speaker, a singer song writer, a spoken word artist, a You Tuber, a published author, a former Paralympian, and a returning guest on The Cup of Glo Podcast. During his first visit with us he honored his sister, Daphne, as a woman of impact in his life. During his second visit we talked about how limiting beliefs can get in the way of our happiness and what we can do to overcome them. Today Bobby in his capacity as singer/song writer Bobby will share his musical journey with us.

Today we are speaking with Adrian Dickey, the owner of Goldie Sound Productions, a leading recording studio located in Tallahassee, Florida.
Adrian has over 20 years of experience in recording and mixing audio and he has worked in a number of professional and world class recording studios, with known artists such as Usher, Latoya Luckett, Monica, Nicole Wray, Gucci Mane, Yo Gotti, Jezzy, as well as many emerging artists.
While Adrian has realized success and a solid reputation for Goldie Sound Productions it is his goal to continue to grow and become one of the “go to” recording studios in the world!
Our guest for this episode is Sheila Bennett Jackson who performs as Sheila B. Sexi, a new blues singer making the scene from Gadsden County Florida. Sheila has three beautiful daughters and two beautiful granddaughters.
Her single, “I Got Fired” captures the emotions of loss, that anyone can experience whether it’s a job loss or divorce, yet it is motivational and uplifting.

She still has a zest for life and is happy to share it! The Nifty 90s Milestone Diva moves to her heart’s content. She may be more relaxed, but she has not stopped yet! The Awesome 100s Milestone Diva can do whatever she pleases. Anything she does is an inspiration for the rest of us.
Overall, you are a Milestone Diva if you are bold, confident, enthusiastic, and love living life all out!
Another Milestone for the Cup of Glo Podcast is publishing our 50th episodetoday!
When we launched the show in March 2020, we were hopeful that we would reach 5 episodes. Look at us now, ten times greater!
