Which type of laughter did you engage in most recently?  Was it belly laughter, nervous laughter, or stress relieving laughter?

Our guest today, Brenda Alloco left the corporate world due to high stress and anxiety issues.  While looking at a few TEDx and You Tube videos, she came across an individual who was delivering a session on laughter yoga.  WOW! Laughing intentionally has proven health benefits.  Laughing is a form of aerobic exercise.  Laughter Yoga can be done at any age and be modified to any physical challenge.  Brenda became certified and is currently teaching a monthly class.

Episode 64 The Importance of Laughter with Comedienne Stephanie McHugh

You may have heard that laughter is the best medicine, I totally agree!

When was the last time you’ve laughed until tears flowed down your face?

Our guest today, Stephanie McHugh is a funny lady who knows how to bring the laughter.  She has appeared on the TV show “America’s Funniest Mom” and was on The Steve and Stephanie Morning show on KOOL 105 in Denver, Colorado. She was invited to perform at the Great American Comedy Festival and is a co-founder of the MentalPause Comedy Show.

When Stephanie isn’t performing comedy on cruise ships (which sadly was most of 2020), she is a humor coach for entrepreneurs and speakers, helping them use humor to connect with their audience. Since her days in radio, Stephanie also records voice over projects out of her home studio.

You can check out some of Stephanie’s comedy, at www.stephaniemchugh.com

Liposuction, Distance Running and Iceland are discussed on Part 2 of Staying Generally Healthy with Dr. William Morse.

When was your last wellness check with your family practitioner?

What did you learn from it?

Dr. William Morse specializes in Integrative Family Medicine, at Tallahassee Primary Care Associates (TPCA).  Dr. Morse was born in Orlando, Florida.  His father was in the Navy, so Dr. Morse grew up traveling up and down the east coast.
