Escaping with Coach Prime and the Colorado Buffaloes S3 Ep10

Why do we like spectating and commentating on sporting events?

While all sports are great, I especially like football.

Football teams represent regions, cities, and sometimes even national pride, making it easy for us as fans to feel a strong personal connection to our teams.  Supporting a team gives us a sense of identity, belonging, and unity with other fans.  This shared identity can be very powerful.  It’s amazing how so many people across the nation have embraced the University of Colorado Buffaloes.

Stop Stressing Yourself Out with Politics S3 Ep5

We have elections in the United States every year.  Some years there are major elections involving federal positions that may impact everyone.  Other times the emphasis is on state, county, city, and other local positions.  Regardless of the level of the elections, it can generate intense feelings leading to high levels of stress.

You’ve probably noticed that our politics are becoming more divisive.  TV commentators and family members argue about who should win an election, why their preferred candidates should run, what is needed to get the outcomes they want and more.
